Admissions guidelines

2027 admissions procedures

Guidelines for Pre-Primary, Grade 1 and Grade 8 admissions in the Khomas Region. The application window is 15 Jun 2026 to 30 Jun 2026.

  1. Obtain an application form. Collect the printable form from your chosen school, download it from this portal, or have the school capture your details directly.
  2. Apply to as many schools as you wish. A learner uses the same UID at every school. The UID is the birth certificate number (Pre-Primary / Grade 1) or the school-allocated number (Grade 8).
  3. Submit supporting documents. Birth certificate, parent/guardian IDs, immunisation card, latest school report, proof of residence and, for Grade 8 transfers, a transfer letter.
  4. Residency priority. Learners residing in the Khomas Region receive first priority (clause 3.1). Out-of-region applicants are considered once residents are placed.
  5. No fees or screening. Applications are free. No admission tests, interviews or selection fees are permitted. A printed form may carry a small printing cost.
  6. Outcome. Schools record each application as received, admitted or not admitted (with a reason). Check your placement status online using your UID and the learner's surname.
